This afternoon we were crossing the street downtown, when and SUV rips around the corner heading straight for us in the middle of the crosswalk.
Instinctively , I push forward toward the other side of the street to narrowly avoid being hit by the car.
Now, thinking clearly about the event, I realize that had I chosen to change direction and head back to the safety of the corner we started on, the outcome would have been entirely different…
The distance to get away from the car was the same, but the time it would have taken to stop, change directions and head backward would have made it impossible to avoid the car.
Interesting analogy for business and life…
